Thrust Lab
Coming soon to iPhone

Build it. Start it. Push it.

Thrust Lab is a jet engine workshop in your pocket. Design an engine, light it up on the test stand and find out how far it will go before it fails.

Coming soon to the App Store for iPhone.

Thrust Lab on iPhone: a turbojet running on the test stand, with speed, temperature, thrust and fuel gauges and the throttle below

Everything an engine designer wants to touch

A real thermodynamic model sits under the cutaway view, so the choices you make change how the engine behaves.

1

Design office

Choose the compressor, turbine temperature, alloys, fan or afterburner and nozzle. Cost, weight and warnings update as you go.

2

Single, dual or triple spool

Pick one, two or three shafts and watch N1, N2 and N3 turn at their own speeds, with spool-up lag and compressor stall to manage.

3

Start it like a real crew

Spin the starter, light the engine and bring it up to power by hand, or press one button and let the computer do it.

4

Five engine families

Turbojets, turbofans, turboprops, ramjets and scramjets, each with its own gauges, limits and sound.

5

Things go wrong

Hot starts, surge, flameout, overspeed and melted turbines damage the engine in stages. A FADEC can save you, or you can switch it off.

6

Records and challenges

Run the standard thrust-stand test, earn achievements and compare your best engines on Game Center leaderboards.

Made for the phone

Play upright or sideways. Big sliders sit under your thumbs and the gauges and graph stay readable at any size.

Free to start, Pro when you want more

The Training turbojet and the Economy cruiser are free to play. Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the other ready-made engines and more of the Design office. No ads, no subscription.
